Contest Girl

Tonight, the photography club had a challenge to pick a room and take 10 different pictures. Miss Lilly was kind enough to pose for the first picture, since she was already in the den where I was going to take the pictures.

Soccer keeping the bed bugs away

If you lay down, Soccer thinks it is his duty to come and protect you while you sleep. Of course it may just be that he likes to snuggle. At any rate, you always have a friend at nap time.

Best of Friends

Piper and her bear are best of friends. She loves to curl up with the bear for a nice snooze.

Hershey quietly watching Max go wild

While Max is going wild chasing the ball and running from the camera, Hershey just sits around quietly watching the action. Every now and then if the ball comes close, she will grab it just to make Max mad. Most of the time she thinks Max waste way too much energy.

Happy Max

I spent some time in the back yard with Max and Hershey today. I took a bunch of pictures trying to get something in focus of Max. While we were play fetch, and he was getting pretty tired, I was able to get this shot. Normally he is running around the yard at full speed if I even point the camera at him.

Think Spring

Little Missy says "Think Spring". She likes the flowers, and would like you to have a free flower. To get your own flower, click on the "Think Spring" flower in the sidebar to get a flower from the "Points of Light" website.

Max and Hershey lounging in the back yard

Almost as hard as taking a picture of a black cat is trying to take a picture of a hyper black dog. Actually it may be even harder, at least the cat will stay still. Hershey will usually sit quietly by and pose for a picture, but not Max. As soon as he sees the camera, he starts going a mile a minute around the back yard. He will rarely come to rest, and usually not very close by. The only way I was able to get this was to break out the long lens and wait for him to get tired.

Cousin Piper loves to lay around on her new Tree Scratching Post that she got for Christmas. Man, black cats are really hard to get a good exposure when trying to take their picture.

Soccer poses for Flash Test

Soccer was also willing to help me test my new "better flash card" that I made for the flash. It worked well to not create harsh shadows.

Lilly

Lilly offered to pose, so that I could test out a "better bounce card" for my flash. The new card gives some nice even lighting.

Casey in the Kitchen

Casey will soon be 16 years old. Even though he eats all the time, he only weighs a little less than 6 pounds. He has a tyroid problem that keeps him so thin, but as old as he is and as poor of heath that he is in, he is about the most loving cat you can imagine.

Jigsaw Puzzle

Trying to put together a collage of Mr. Big Boy and Little Missy in order to have a jigsaw puzzle made for my mother-in-law. The cats are not the best of friends, so you don't see them together very often for a kodak moment.

Nothing like a good book and a sun lamp for a relaxing evening!

Soccer thinks it is time for a little snack, but seem to be having problems getting into the bag. If given a little time I bet he will figure out a way.

The Three Amigos

The three amigos. Casey, Soccer, and Lilly. What are they waiting for? Ms. June from Aiken Pet Sitters to come see them, or maybe for someone to open a can of tuna. Whatever the reason, you can bet that food is involved!

Another cousin, Little Missy

Even though Mr Big Boy had to be boarded, his sister, Little Missy got to stay at the house. Boy was that a fun Christmas with 5 cats in the house at one time.

Mr. Big Boy

Another cousin, Mr. Big Boy came once for Christmas. Since he does not do well in the house, he stayed at All Paws Kennels. His sister stayed at the house with the rest of the cats. He was visited every day while he was there.
